Reflections Week 3 - Social Media Marketing

This week was way more easy to navigate.  I think the Facebook example was very light weight, though.  I would have preferred to practice using more criteria and to see different ways to target different customers. I still would like to see some type of closure that focuses on how these business people benefited from their experience. How did revenues change, etc.

I downloaded the instructions to use with my class next semester.  I think there will some valuable information.  I may set up a competition among my students to market a restaurant or bed-and-breakfast

  1. I agree on the Facebook example being light weight. I am not a Facebook user and therefore it was all foreign to me. I would have liked to have seen a little more in depth example. I also would have liked to have a little more closure on the scenarios. We help them set their prices and then don't find out how it goes. I guess we have to leave it up to our imagination.

  3. I really like your idea for setting up an exercise for the students to develop a marketing plan for a small business. I think it would have been more applicable, if the unit we covered this week, was set up that way- if it took you through all of the steps. I feel it was also lacking in options.

  4. I also found it lacking. Being able to crop a picture is useful but doesn't do me a lot of good if my marketing strategy is underdeveloped.

  5. I agree, the Facebook example of "light weight"; however, I appreciated the introduction to the advertising side of the medium. I am a heavy user of Facebook, but I did not realize the simplicity of the process to advertise.
